I.U.D Procedure Tray
Catalog # 926/IUD Contains components for Intra Uterine Device (IUD) insertion procedure. Pedicat™ Antiseptic gel: lubricates speculum and coats all around vaginal walls, creating safe aseptic environment. Endofocus Forceps: including gauze ball (Tupfer) for application of antiseptic. Tenaculum Forceps: For cervical traction. Unique design grasps cervix in a single "snap-close" movement, minimizing pain.

1. Peel open sealed sterile pack. 2. Remove yellow waste disposal bag (can be hung from edge of work surface). 3. Inject/pour antiseptic solution* into small compartment in the tray. 4. Don sterile gloves *.

Follow
instructions printed on the
Pedicat™ sachet to
lubricate speculum* with
antiseptic lubricating gel.

Use speculum
in conventional manner. 7. Grip gauze ball by closing Endofocus Forceps jaws, exerting thumb pressure on the rear mechanism (see illustration “A”). 8. Using Endofocus Forceps, immerse gauze ball in antiseptic solution and disinfect cervical area. 9. Grip cervix edge in one "snap-close" movement with Endofocus Tenaculum Forceps.

withdrawing
Endofocus Tenaculum Forceps
to align the uterus, sound uterus depth by carefully inserting
the Hysterometer/Uterine Sound. 11. Adjust I.U.D and Hysterometer/Uterine Sound for matching length. 12. Insert I.U.D. 13. To remove Endofocus Tenaculum Forceps, open jaws by pulling “trigger” (see illustration “B”).
